Increasing Access & Reducing Waste
Buying equipment for climbing is costly and sometimes intimidating. For others, perfectly good gear may sit around unused as we upgrade our gear. This will help to mitigate both of those issues! We are so excited to start a Gear Library for our members to use at Climb the Gap indoor and outdoor events. Stronghold Climbing Gym has generously offered to host the Gear Library on their premises, and will help to inspect donated gear for safety. We'll be accepting:
Helmets
New rope (we'll also accept old rope, but not for climbing purposes)
Shoes
New harnesses
Cams / nuts / quickdraws
Any Black Diamond equipment (we encourage you to Boycott Black Diamond / Dump The Diamond, and we'll reappropriate them!)
While Stronghold is closed at the moment due to COVID, you can still mail items:
